A Proven Record of Personal Achievement
Leigh’s coaching journey is grounded in his own impressive feats across a variety of extreme environments. As someone who has summited a 6,200-meter Himalayan peak solo, completed multiple Ironman triathlons, set a world record for endurance, and finished numerous marathons, Leigh’s personal accomplishments are a testament to the effectiveness of the methods he teaches. In addition to these achievements, Leigh has spent many years working as a Master scuba diver trainer, an in-water emergency response instructor, and pursuing freediving as a hobby. He also has extensive experience as a Yacht Captain, having Captained expedition vessels, research vessels, and private yachts, where he honed his leadership, decision-making, and resilience in demanding, often unpredictable environments at sea. These diverse experiences have deepened his understanding of human performance and have given him invaluable insights into the challenges people face when striving for peak performance. His commitment to pushing the boundaries of human endurance continues to inform his coaching, helping others unlock their full potential in all areas of life.

His experience navigating the world’s oceans, trekking in alpine himalayas and nearly two decades of coaching has equipped him with a unique understanding of resilience, leadership, and focus under pressure—skills he integrates into his coaching programs. In addition to his achievements in extreme endurance and high-performance coaching, Leigh is also a seasoned yoga teacher and an advanced practitioner of breathwork and meditation. His approach bridges the gap between physical endurance and mindful tranquility, offering a holistic perspective on personal growth and development.
Leigh’s journey into mindfulness and movement began in his childhood with martial arts and deepened during his years at sea as a ship's Captain. It reached a new level of depth during his time in India, where he studied yoga, pranayama, and meditation, earning advanced certifications that have since become integral to his coaching philosophy. Further enhancing his expertise, Leigh has also obtained certifications in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Hypnosis, tools that help him guide individuals in overcoming mental blocks and reaching their full potential. This comprehensive training informs his belief that true strength, clarity, and peak performance arise from aligning the body and mind through breath, movement, and strategic thinking.

Leigh has mentored many mariners who have gone on to achieve great success in the marine industry, coached both professional and amateur athletes through the highs and lows of their sporting journeys, and worked passionately with everyday people who have surprised themselves with what they once thought was impossible. Driven by a relentless ambition to help others, Leigh actively presents free community workshops and offers scholarships to those in need of assistance to get started on their health and wellness journeys. Coaching and supporting others to gain the clarity, confidence, and conviction to take on life as they desire is Leigh’s greatest passion.
